Windows Phones are most popular in US, India and Brazil
A report by AdDuplex reveals the top 20 countries in the world users of phones operating by Microsoft’s system. US, India and Brazil lead the chart.
The company usually publishes reports about the use and development of Windows Phone in several countries but its latest research is a little bit different. On July 8th AdDuplex gathered data from 11 different Windows Phone apps used all around the world and their ads. The examined apps are global and are not intended to serve only local users. Nevertheless, the results could be affected by different publishers in every country. The ads from the apps were seen by 200,000 people on that day.
Taking a look at the chart we will see that 11 percent of the Windows Phone devices are being used in the US. India has 7.5 percent followed by Brazil with 6.9 percent. The results of Russia and Italy (4.3 percent each) and China (3.7 percent) might hint Microsoft at the need of extension of main services and promotions offered by the company in these regions.
