The Windows Insider program adds support for additional smartphones

Microsoft released build 10586.29 on Friday and the cumulative update brought many small improvements to Windows 10 Mobile.

Today, the company has updated the Windows Device Recovery tool with support for additional devices – Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL, 550 and LG Lancet. These phones can now join the Windows Insider program and download build 10586.29.

To install the last Insider Preview build of Windows 10 mobile you need to join the program, install the ‘Windows Insider’ app on your smartphone, select Fast Ring, and restart the phone. Then go to Settings → Phone Updates and you should be able to download and install the new version.

Update: some of the Lumia 950s users reported that they were unable to detect the update via the Insider Program. We can confirm that a hard-reset resolves the problem.
