Windows Insider app updated and removed from Windows 10 Mobile Redstone
Microsoft integrates the Insider app in Settings
With the Anniversary Update for Windows 10, those of you who want to install new Insider Preview builds on supported phones won’t need to have a separate app to join the program and switch between Insider rings. The current Windows Insider app has just received an update for users who are on the Insider program, and the update made the app stop working and redirecting to Settings.
The Insider program page can be found in Settings → Updates & Security. After tapping ‘Windows Insider Program’ you can stop Insider preview builds for a period of time (1, 3 or 5 days) or opt out completely. You can also choose the Insider level – Fast, Slow or Release Preview.
The Windows Insider app still works on Phones which are on the official Threshold branch (10586).
