Windows Camera officially updated with a Panorama feature
Panorama now available for Release Preview and non-Insiders
In July, Microsoft updated the Windows Camera app for Insiders on the Fast Ring, bringing the much-anticipated Panorama feature to the app. Now version 2016.816.21.0, available for non-Insiders and those on the Release Preview ring, adds the Panorama feature for the rest of the Windows 10 Mobile users, although it could be days before the update rolls out to every single device.
The new Panorama mode in the Windows Camera allows you to create a panoramic photo as you slowly rotate the phone from left to right in a vertical position. The implementation of the Panorama mode in Windows 10 Mobile is different than that seen in the Lumia Panorama app for Windows Phone 8.1. While in Windows Phone 8.1 you need to rotate the device in a horizontal position and manually snap a couple of photos to cover the scene, the Windows Camera app does everything automatically.
