You can see the photos’ geolocation on the map

Microsoft has released an updated version of its Photo app or Windows 10 Mobile devices. The new update brings two significant new features and improves some performance issues.

Photos for Windows 10 Mobile now has a new drop-down menu in Settings. If you enable the option to ‘Show content from OneDrive’ you will see a new menu to select whether you want to see photos from the whole Cloud storage or only from the Photo folder.

The second new feature we’ve noticed is the ability to see the location of the photo you have captured. Click on the ‘File info’ section to see a map with the exact geolocation of the photo. Keep in mind that to see the location you need to have the location settings turned on. Inside the camera app, click on Settings → ‘Choose whether camera can use location settings’ and turn the location on.

Besides these features, Microsoft has slightly improved the performance of the Photo app. For example, the photos now appear immediately in the camera roll and the zooming has been improved.
