Microsoft quietly rolls out build 15240 to Insider Slow

Along with the PC build 16273 released in the Fast Ring, Microsoft also pushed Windows 10 Mobile build 15240 to users in the Slow Ring, allowing them to test a stable build from the feature2 branch with two new features.

Windows 10 Mobile 15240 brings support for the Chinese Lunar Calendar and Emoji 5.0. Besides these two features, there are no visible changes in the release. We expect to see a few more stable builds with improvements before Microsoft push the button for the official Mobile update in September.

The software giant is not sharing any details about its plans for Windows mobile, except to confirm that Windows on phone is an important part of their strategy. It’s believed that Microsoft is working on a new version of Windows with different modules (composable shell) that will eventually displace Windows 10 Mobile in the future devices.
