Low-cost devices based on MediaTek processors coming soon

In attempts to lure new manufacturers to make Windows phones, Microsoft will soon add support for MediaTek processors to Windows 10 Mobile, which can result in a range of cheaper smartphones on the market.

Winfuture.de reports that Microsoft has mentioned during the Congress in Barcelona that Windows 10 Mobile can run on MediaTek processors such as Helio P10 and Helio X10 and X20.

These processors are a lot cheaper than the Qualcomm’s equivalents, which means we can soon see new aggressively priced Windows 10 Mobile devices.
