Windows 10 Insider build 17083 introduces new features and improvements for testing
Diagnostic Data Viewer, Shell improvements and more
Microsoft rolled out another test build of Windows 10 from the Redstone 4 branch, whose official debut will be in the Spring. There are many new features and improvements in build 17083, available in the Insider Fast Ring for PCs.
Windows 10 Insider build 17083 includes a Diagnostic Data Viewer in Settings → Privacy → Diagnostics, a tool that will be available as a dedicated Store app later this year. Windows Diagnostic Data Viewer provides common data, device properties and capabilities, network information, product and service performance data, device health, installed apps, and more.
Sets, the feature announced earlier this year, is not working in this build, but it will return soon after some additional testing. The company improved the Timeline by introducing new options for clearing activities for a day or hour. From UWP app settings, you can now see the app version number, while from Settings → Apps, you can manage startup apps. Additionally, Windows 10 build 17083 for Fast Ring has improvements to Windows Shell, and a new name for Quiet Hours – Focus Assist.
