February 2017 cumulative update coming soon to Windows 10

Microsoft keeps improving Windows 10 by releasing monthly cumulative updates with bug fixes for PCs, tablets and phones. Following last month’s update with build 14393.693, the company is preparing a new one for February.

Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile build 14393.823 was compiled on February 9, and Microsoft apparently approved it for a February 14th release. Next week, on Tuesday, all devices running Windows 10 Anniversary Update will receive the February patch with more improvements and bug fixes.

Meanwhile, the Internal test builds have advanced to 10.0.15036. Microsoft may release a new test build of Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile in the coming weeks. The official release of Windows 10 Creators Update for PCs is expected in April, while the Mobile version may be delayed a month or two.

Update (February 14):

Microsoft delayed the February update due to a last minute issue:

Our top priority is to provide the best possible experience for customers in maintaining and protecting their systems. This month, we discovered a last minute issue that could impact some customers and was not resolved in time for our planned updates today.

After considering all options, we made the decision to delay this month’s updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change to the existing plan.
