Welcome Polaroid to the Windows Phone family!
Everyone can probably remember the good old instant Polaroid pictures. But do you know that Polaroid also makes smartphones? Hidden amongst all popular brands at IFA2014 in Berlin, the small Polaroid stand had one really interesting for us product – a Windows Phone!
Polaroid WinPro 5.0 is a typical mid-range device that reminds very much like the YEZZ Billy 4.7 which is already available at amazon.com.
The WinPro 5.0 has a 5-inch IPS display up front with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The exact processor is yet to be confirmed, but according to wintouch.de it is a quad-core Snapdragon clocked at 1.3 GHz.
The WinPro 5.0 features 8 GB internal storage, 1 GB of Ram, and is equipped with two cameras. An 8-megapixel camera is positioned on the back, while the 2-MP front camera is perfect for Skype video calls. The first Polaroid Windows Phone is a Dual SIM device, powered by a decent 2400mAh battery.
The new Windows Phone should go on sale in October in Europe, with a retail price of around €200.
