VLC media player drops the Beta tag
The first universal apps are here
After many improvements and bug fixes made over the past few months, VLC media player is dropping the Beta tag and the media player becomes available in the store under the name “VLC for Windows Phone’’.
Besides a number of improvements such as HD playback issues, VLC becomes one the first true universal app with shared core across platforms, which means the same service and features are available on Windows 8.1, Window Phone 8.1 and Windows 10.
VLC media player allows you to stream media files, and the app supports the most popular formats and protocols.
