Updates for Skype, Maps & Groove Music in the Insider Fast Ring
Microsoft updates core Windows apps with new features
Insiders on the Fast Ring can now grab the updated versions of Skype Preview, Windows Maps and Groove Music. These apps have been updated with some new features for Insiders, before Microsoft decides to roll the updates out to everyone on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.
Skype Preview now supports dragging and dropping a file into the chat window, and also shows a preview of URLs shared in chats. Profile improvements have also been made in this release, for a quick call directly from the user’s profile. In addition, the Skype team introduces new app settings for preferred camera, speaker and microphone.
Windows Maps include collections, so you can easily organize favorite places. The new version also shows home, work and car locations at the top of the list.
Groove Music has been updated with a couple of minor improvements, including auto disabling pages when you are offline, search suggestions on Xbox, auto dismiss for notifications, and more.
