Animated emojis and UI tweaks for Messaging + Skype app

Microsoft rolled out two updates to the Messaging + Skype app for Windows 10 Mobile which bumped the version number number to 2.12.11012.0 from 1.11.19004.0. The new version supports animated emojis and includes some interface refinements.

When the app is used in landscape mode the circles are bigger, and the active conversation is highlighted by a vertical line. The update also removed the ‘Skype’ and ‘SIM’ marks in the main feed.

The updated People App is almost the same as the old version, but it has minor tweaks to the design – the app bar is now grey and appears smaller in contacts. In addition, the refresh button has been removed from the main page and you can access it only under a contact.
