An update for 8 Zip turns the file archiver into a Universal Windows 10 app
8 Zip is now available for Windows 10 devices with support for Continuum
The file archiver 8 Zip has been updated for Windows 10 and the new version works on both PCs and phones. The universal Windows 10 app has two versions – Paid and Free (Lite). The paid app costs $7.99, but only for a week the price is just $0.99 and one license is valid for all your Windows 10 devices.
The new update brings many features to phones (the app was already available for Windows 10 Desktop). 8 Zip now includes support for Continuum, so you could use the app on a bigger screen in Continuum mode. In addition, the app archives and unpacks files faster, and can decrypt archives using Windows Hello.
8 Zip also allows you to play music and videos directly in the app, send files by email or upload them to OneDrive and DropBox, select compression level, print files, and more.
