Windows 10 camera app to get in-built Panorama feature

The ability to capture a panoramic photo will be included in the next version of the Microsoft Camera app for Windows 10 Mobile. An upcoming update will add a new Panorama button to the stock camera app.

Windows Blog Italia has managed to get their hands on Camera app version 2016.515.11.0. The Panorama feature is activated after clicking on the button and holding the phone in a vertical position. Then the user needs to move the camera from left to right to capture the scene.

The website has even created a test panoramic image and the results look pretty good. The report adds that Panorama currently works on new phones like the Lumia 950, and doesn’t work on older devices like the Lumia 1520. However, the Panorama functionality could be enabled for all models once the new Camera app rolls out to the general public.
