Upcoming flagship Lumia phones leaked once again
Talkman (Lumia 940) and Cityman (Lumia 940 XL) are being tested
AdDuplex has published its monthly report about the Windows Phone market. While the situation hasn’t changed much since May and there is no point to discuss boring numbers, AdDuplex has surprised us with two previously unseen Lumia devices in the database and it seems that they are both flagships!
RM-1104 /1105 is a 5.2-inch Lumia device with a Full HD screen (1080p resolution). It could the rumored Lumia 940 / Talkman.
RM-1100 has a bigger screen (5.7-inch) with a Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440), so it is likely to be the second flagship for 2015, codenamed ‘Cityman (or Lumia 940 XL).
According to sources close to WPCentral, the specifications for Cityman / Lumia 940 XL are confirmed as:
- 5.7 inch QHD display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
- 3GB of RAM
- 32GB + microSD
- 20MP rear camera, triple LED flash
- 5MP FFC
- 3300 mAh removable battery
- USB Type-C
Talkman (Lumia 940) is expected to feature a similar design and specs to the Lumia 940 XL, except the 5.2 inch screen, six-core Snapdragon 808 processor and the smaller battery (3000 mah). Both models could be presented in September along with Windows 10 Mobile, and then released in October / November.
Microsoft is also working on at least two mid-range devices. The rumored Lumia 740 and 840 could be released in the same timeframe. According to unconfirmed reports, the company has also planned a successor to the Lumia 1020, but it (Lumia 1040) won’t be released before 2016.
