The second Windows 10 build will support more phones
Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones expands to more devices
While the first pre-release version of Windows 10 for the Phones has been available to a subset of Lumias for almost a month, Microsoft is still working on a feature called “partition stitching” that will allow more smartphones to install the Preview soon.
Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed on Twitter that Windows 10 will support mode devices with the next update which we expect to roll out within a two weeks’ time.
The current list with supported models includes Nokia Lumia 630, 635, 730, 735 and 830.
The next Windows 10 build could add support for many high-end Lumia devices including Lumia 1520, 930, and Lumia 1020.
The preview version of Windows 10 can be installed on a supported device through an app called Windows Insider after joining the Insider program and logging with Microsoft credentials on the phone.
