Another interesting smartphone from Nokia will be released in the coming weeks. Last week, Nokia introduced the Lumia 1020 – a phone with the best camera to date. Now, Nokia is preparing its biggest Lumia – the low-end Nokia Lumia 625 with its 4.7-inch display. Sources close to The Verge confirmed that the phone will be one of the cheapest with LTE support on the market. The Nokia Lumia 625 is expected to debut in China by the end of July in a variety of colors for a price around $325 off-contract.

The handset, named “Max” has passed the certification tests in China and appeared in the official Chinese device regulator webpage. Several pictures of the Lumia 625 are available for the general public.

The 625 will pack a 4.7-inch display with a WVGA resolution (800 x 480p), a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. The new Lumia has both a rear and front facing camera – 5 MP with LED focus assist and VGA respectively.

With the new Nokia, the Finish OEM will try to push Windows Phone to a lower price point and challenge Samsung on the low-end phone market. There is no word on the global availability, but it seems that the Nokia Lumia 625 has passed the FCC certification in June and will arrive at AT&T in the US.
