Connect Skype UWP across Windows 10 devices

Skype, the Universal Windows app for Windows 10, can replace your default SMS app on Mobile, and you can sync your SMS messages with the Windows 10 PC. To sync SMS across Windows 10 platforms you need to set Skype UWP as a default SMS app and then enable the syncing from the settings. Here are the steps:

1. On the Phone, Open Skype and go to ‘Settings’. Scroll down to the SMS menu, tap to ‘Set Skype as the default SMS app’. Do not close the Settings window.
   

2. On the PC, Open Skype UWP and go to ‘Settings’. Scroll down to the SMS section and tap ‘Enable’. Write down the ‘Authentication Code’.
   

3. On the Phone, you will see a request for connection from the PC. Tap to Enter the Authentication code. Enter the 4 digit code shown on Desktop.
   

That’s it, your devices are now connected with Skype, and the app will sync the SMS messages across them.
