Spotify gets a major update with awesome new design
Spotify on Windows Phone now matches the app on iOS and Android
A New version of Spotify is now available to download, and we are not talking about just a minor update with bug fixes. Spotify for Windows phones has been completely revamped and now matches the Android and IOS versions in terms of design and functionality.
Spotify 5.0 comes with many design improvements and the app now resembles the apps available on the other major platforms. Of course, the dark interface is still here, but it now looks more polished than ever.
New organization of Browse section will allow you to find and play a song easier than ever. In addition, the content shown in ‘Browse’ feature is now more relevant to your personal music taste.
The Radio page goes all dark, matching the overall new look and replacing the chaotic black and white Radio section in the old version. There is a new Music Page for better organization of user’s collection with the following sub-categories – playlists, songs, artists and albums.
Overall, version 5.0 is the most significant Spotify update since launch and finally the Windows Phone version is matching the other platforms’ counterparts.
Today, Spotify is among the most popular music streaming services with over 60 million active users, and the app is available to download for free on Windows Phone Store.
