Soon you will be able to listen your music collection from OneDrive
Microsoft is working on an integration between Xbox Music and the Cloud
Microsoft’s OneDrive will offer you cloud music streaming soon. Users will be able to listen their music collections from the cloud on every connected device – PC , tablet or smartphone. New information posted on Windows Central reveals a bit more about the upcoming integration between Xbox Music app and One Drive.
Called Xbox Music Locker, the service will initially launch only in the UK, US, Scandinavia, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Argentina, and some western European countries. The reason for the limited availability is licensing agreements. Microsoft will offer 20GB on the cloud to users who upload music to their online folder on OneDrive.
The service will be 100% free without any restrictions of music streaming or ads.
Microsoft has already expanded the free storage on One Drive to 30GB for all users uploading photos, while all Office365 subscribers got unlimited space. Meanwhile, a redesigned OneDrive app for Windows phone has been published this week bringing Android-like hamburger button.
