Samsung to launch a new Windows Phone smartphone soon
According to GFXBench, Samsung is making an unannounced yet Windows Phone smartphone codenamed SGH-I187. It is argued that the future handset will be mid-range and in the same league of Ativ S handsets.
The benchmarks on GFXBench have shown that the device will likely have a 720p HD display. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. The results have revealed that it will perform slightly higher than Samsung Ativ S and lower than Nokia Lumia 920.
The GDR3 update is expected to start rolling out later this year and OEMs are awaiting it to happen in order to launch their handsets with Full HD display and quad-core processors. It has recently been revealed that Nokia is preparing to release a smartphone with 6-inch Full HD 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 processor. Also, the rumors say that HTC is making a version of HTC One with Windows Phone 8.
