Microsoft to release two mid-range Lumias in the coming months

NPU informs, citing their own sources, that Microsoft is still working on two mid-range phones, despite earlier reports claiming that Lumia 750 & 850 have been canceled.

Microsoft Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 should replace Nokia Lumia 730/830 – two devices that almost reached the ‘End of Life’ status. Furthermore, the upcoming Lumia 850 may be the rumored metallic phone with mid-range specs expected in 2016.

New mid-range models seem obvious. Redmond is going to replace the Lumia 640 with the Lumia 550, while the affordable Lumia 730/850 will be discontinued soon, so there will be a substantial gap in the mid-range segment.

Nokia Power User adds that Lumia 750 will debut at the end of 2015, while the Lumia 850 will follow in February-March next year.
