Rumor: HTC is developing a new high-end Windows phone codenamed Hima
HTC Hima may launch in two versions – with Android and Windows
According to @upleaks, a reliable Chinese leaker familiar with HTC’s plans, the smartphone manufacturer is working on a new super high-end device codenamed ‘Hima’. HTC Hima could be the follow-up to the HTC One M8 or a brand new, not related with previous models device.
What’s most exciting here is that there is a chance that HTC might be preparing a Windows Phone version of the model in addition to Android, similar to what happened with the HTC One M8.

If the information is correct, the Android smartphone should be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in early March 2015 and arrive at all US carriers soon after. If the phone is real and there is a Windows version in the development stage HTC will probably release it a bit later (if not months after March) as we suppose it will run Windows 10 for phones which is expected to be finished by April.
Rumored specs of the HTC Hima phone include:
- 5-inch Full HD screen
- 64-bit eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor
- 3 GB of RAM
- 20.7-megapixel camera on the back
- 13MP UltraPixel front-facing camera
- 2840 mAh battery
- Android 5.0 / Windows 10
