The Release date for Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update is April 25
Microsoft to start updating Windows smartphones two weeks after Windows 10 PC
Microsoft announced that the Creators Update for Windows 10 will roll out in waves, starting from PCs on April 11. Now we have an official release date for the Windows 10 Mobile update. Microsoft announced on its blog that the Creators Update will start rolling out to officially supported smartphones on April 25.
But before the official update, Microsoft will release the preview version of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update to Insiders in the Release Preview ring. Currently, Fast and Slow ring Insiders are running build 15063.2 which is among one of the release candidates. However, the company will likely roll out one or two minor cumulative updates to the RTM build 15063 before the official release.
Our advice is to change the Insider ring to ‘Release Preview’ and skip all intermediate Preview releases until the final RTM build is ready in April.
Keep in mind that this update will also roll out in stages and the newer devices like the Lumia 950 and 650 will be getting the Creators Update first.
