Microsoft introduces new features for Insiders in the Fast Ring

Build 17017 is available for everyone in the Insider Fast Ring, including those who opted for the Skip Ahead ring. This build is from the development branch (Redstone 4) and includes new features and many fixes.

Windows 10 Build 17017 introduces Cortana collections. The digital assistant can now remember things and put them into organized lists.

Additionally, Cortana’s proactive content has been migrated to the Action Center for a better user experience, while the insights remain in the Cortana interface. Another new feature in build 17017 is the ability to configure the startup apps from the Settings → Apps.

This build also brings many under the hood changes and improvements, all listed in the official changelog here.

Microsoft should start rolling out the official Redstone 3 update to everyone on October 17. The Fall Creators Update will be coming with build 16299. A cumulative update for the RTM build has been released to Insiders in the Fast, Slow and Release Preview ring ahead of the official launch.
