Microsoft may release Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL this summer

One of the upcoming Windows 10 flagships, Lumia 940, has already appeared in GFXBench benchmark under the codename RM-1106. The phone has been listed as a 5.2-inch device with a Quad-HD resolution (2560×1440) and a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with 3 Gigs of RAM.

Now NPU informs about another unconfirmed model RM 1104 passing through Indonesian certifications. It is quite possible that RM-1104 and RM-1106 are different variants of the same model (rumored high-end Lumia 940).

Given the recent increase of rumors and leaks about Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, Microsoft may be close to officially present its first two flagship smartphones after the Nokia acquisition in 2014. Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL will share a similar design and features – like a 20MP Pureview camera, 5 MP front facing shooter, Iris scanner, Type C USB. Lumia 940 will have a bigger screen (5,7 inches) and a bit faster processor – Snapdragon 810.

Both models should see a global release by the end of the summer with Windows 10 Mobile on board.
