Roll back to Windows Phone 8.1 and get 10572 or wait for Build 10575

Microsoft has two new builds of Windows 10 Mobile that have passed the internal testing and the company is now offering the first one (10572) as optional for all Windows Insiders who are on the Fast Ring.

Here is the catch – if you want to get Windows 10 Mobile 10572 now, you need to downgrade your phone to Windows Phone 8.1 using the Windows Device Recovery Tool.

Users who don’t want to reset their phones to 8.1 can just wait a couple of days (until some time next week) to install the second approved build – 10575 or newer.

According to Gabriel Aul, build 10572 is “pretty excellent” and has new features, lots of fixes and improved battery. It is worth noting that the ‘build to build’ upgrade has been fixed so you will be able to upgrade directly to 10575 from 10572 or 10549.

To grab version 10572, make sure that you are running Windows Phone 8.1, install the Windows Insider app, subscribe for Fast Ring, restart, and scan for an update.
