OneDrive with larger file support and more improvements
Today Microsoft added some improvements to its OneDrive cloud storage. After enlarging the space available for free up to 15GB and 1TB for Office 365 users, now the service offers files up to 10GB to be uploaded. The new feature will be really useful and you can take advantage of it no matter if you get access on OneDrive through your desktop, mobile device or the cloud’s website.
With the increase of storage space comes out another improvement allowing users to download and upload numerous files at the same time. This improves the sync speed up to three times. According to one of OneDrive’s program managers, the new services will be available for users in the next few weeks.
A new sharing feature is also enabled for the clients of the mobile and web platforms. Users will be able to share an OneDrive link after a right-click on any file or folder. The new sharing functions are released for Windows 7 and 8 but the users of Windows 8.1 and Mac still have to wait a little bit more.
Another new option allows users to upload folders directly from the OneDrive website. Dragging and dropping folders straight on the website is also made possible by Microsoft.
