Official customer support app for Lumia available in the Store
B2X-Smartapp is now live for Lumia owners
In November, we informed you that Microsoft outsourced the Lumia customer support to a third-party service provider – B2X. The German-based company is now launching an official app for the Lumia phones, allowing you to perform hardware tests, see the warranty and repair statues of your Lumia smartphone, find a repair center, and more.
B2X SmartApp for Lumia devices has four sections in the ‘Services’ menu – software, battery, network and hardware. Each section includes diagnostic tools to check if your phone has a defect. The software tests include a RAM check and OS version.
From the ‘Battery’ section, you get information about current battery level, active connections and battery health status. There are 15 Network tests to check SIM card, Wi-Fi, Network Signal and other network-related features. The app also includes 14 hardware tests to check the status of the display, microphone, all sensors, camera, Bluetooth and location.
Using the app, you can check the warranty status of your phone by entering the IMEI, contact the service staff, and find an authorized service center nearby.
