The owners of Nokia Lumia 520 have started receiving the Lumia Black update for their handsets. The update is currently available for some country variants of the phone in the European, African, and Asia-Pacific markets. It is not available for the Middle East, South and North American markets, where it is expected to arrive very soon. For the countries where the update is available, its availability depends on the operator`s variant as well.

As we already informed you, the Lumia Black update comes with several new features and improvements. But again, their availability varies from model to model. You can see below in the table which features for which Lumia models are available.

In brief, the update, which comes along with the Microsoft`s GDR 3 software update, brings new camera improvements, new apps, and some changes and additions to the system settings. Some of the Lumia Black`s features are not available for Nokia Lumia 520 as it has some hardware limitations. For instance, the handset does not get Nokia Glance Screen 2.0 as well as any app which requires at least 1 GB of RAM, such as Nokia Refocus and Nokia Beamer.
