Nokia released the beta version of Nokia Play To app
Windows Phone Area understands that the Nokia Play To app in a beta version is available for download from Windows Phone Store. It is a nice app which allows you to connect your Lumia device wirelessly to DLNA enabled devices (i.e. TVs, speakers, etc.) and plays a different content on them, such as videos, music and photos. In order to do so, both your phone and desired device have to be connected to the same WiFi network. When you find the device, you just tap to connect and start streaming the content.
However, the beta version of the app is available only for Lumia devices which have the Lumia Black software update installed. This means that currently it is available only for Lumia 1320 and 1520. As we stated earlier the Lumia Black update is expected to start rolling out early next year for the following devices; Lumia 520, 620, 625, 720, 820, 920, 925, and 1020.
The beta version of the app includes some new features like slideshow capability, updated interface, and a support for 720p and 1080p screen resolutions. The slideshow capability allows sharing a group of images from one album and showing them as a slideshow without user intervention. Nokia Play To can be downloaded from here.
