Nokia Lumia 830 revealed in photos
An upcoming Windows phone codenamed RM-985, known also as Lumia 830, made another appearance in a set of new photos and user manuals. The 830, which has been described as an affordable high-end device, has just passed through ‘Anatel’ certification procedures in Brazil.
According to the leaked documents, the new Lumia measures at 139.4 mm x 70.7 mm x 8.5 mm, so the phone is definitely slimmer than the old Nokia designs. For comparison, the current high-end Lumia 930, which has a 5-inch screen, measures in at 137 x 71 x 9.8 mm.
Based on these numbers, we can assert confidently that the Lumia 830 will come with a 5-inch screen with at least a 720p resolution.
What about the other specs?
Other unconfirmed details of the future phone:
- It has a removable back cover and battery
- It has a camera module similar to the Lumia 1020 with a 20MP PureView sensor with OIS
- A dedicated camera button
- Capacitive buttons
- LTE support
- A quad-core Snapdragon processor with unknown speed
- 1GB or 2 GB of RAM
Nokia Lumia 830 is expected to arrive in the US for all major carriers (ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint) and other countries soon after its official announcement in September 4 during IFA 2014 in Germany.
