Nokia Lumia 630 appeared online as the first phone with on-screen buttons
The popular source of mobile news @evleaks has posted an image showing the Nokia Lumia 630. The leaked press render gave us an early look of the first smartphone with on-screen Start, Back and Search buttons, running the Windows Phone 8.1 update. Codenamed Moneypenny, Nokia Lumia 630 has a similar design to the low-end Lumia 620, with a bigger screen and upgraded specs.
Different rumors have prompted speculations that the Nokia Lumia 630 will arrive with a 4.5-inch display, a dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. According to a leaked product sheet, the Nokia Lumia 630 will have dimensions of 129.55 mm x 66.7 mm. In addition, Nokia is rumored to work on a dual SIM version of the smartphone. The future handset will probably launch in Q2 after Microsoft officially announced its major OS update in April.
We know that the next Windows Phone 8.1 update will support on-screen (soft) buttons and dual SIM so we expect to see many new devices later in 2014. With WP8.1, Microsoft opens its ecosystem to many new manufacturers as they can use the same hardware for Android and Windows Phone handsets.
