New and upgraded Nokia models are expected during the Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona between 24th and 27th of February 2014. Nokia has sent invitations to the press for a conference on February 24, between 8.30 and 9.30 a.m. local time. At least three new models are expected during the event including a high-end Windows Phone.

The next flagship could be called Lumia 1820, according to rumors. It is likely to have a 5.2-inch screen with a 2K resolution. The processor revealed should be the quad-core Snapdragon 805 backed by 3GB of RAM. Similar to the Lumia 1020 and 1520, the next flagship will be a camera-centric phone with a Xenon flash and a couple of software goodies. It will have 32 GB of storage and a 3400 mAh battery.

The second new phone could be the 6-inch Lumia 1525. It may have similar specs and a 25/30 MP camera. Nokia is also rumored to unveil a smaller version of its 6-inch Lumia 1520. The new device could be called Lumia 1520v and you can expect a 4.3-inch display with a 1080p resolution, 32GB internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. The phone is likely to have the same processor as the 1520 model, a camera downgraded to 14 MP and a 3000 mAh battery.

Finally, Nokia may announce a device running a modified Android version. The device codenamed Nokia X a.k.a Normandy will be a budget-oriented model, probably under the Asha brand. This particular model could be cancelled if the Microsoft / Nokia deal closes before the Mobile World Congress.
