Surface Book 2 won’t be ready for a 2017 launch

If you are hoping to buy a new Surface Book in the Holiday shopping season, you will be disappointed to learn that Microsoft has a different plan. According to information coming from Jo Foley, Microsoft won’t be releasing a successor to the original Surface Book this year.

Surface Book 2 is definitely on the agenda, but it will be announced sometime in early 2018 at a dedicated event. The company presented earlier this year a new model from the Surface Pro line, and we all thought that Surface Book was coming in October.

Microsoft is indeed holding a Keynote on October 3^rd 2017, but it will be focused on Mixed Reality instead of Surface.

The news regarding a successor to the Lumia 950 line are also pretty skimpy right now. Months ago we informed you about a high-end mobile device under testing, running Andromeda OS, but we have not heard anything since then.
