A new Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone has been spotted on the GFX website – a benchmark revealing information about specs and features of many unannounced devices. Codenamed Nokia RM-1027, it is definitely a budget-oriented handset as it has been listed as having Adreno 305 graphics and an 800 x 480 pixel resolution – specs typical for low-end Lumias such as 520 and 525.

RM-1027 could be the Lumia 530 a.k.a ‘Nokia Rock’, a possible successor to the Lumia 520 and 525, two smartphones sharing almost the same specs except the amount of RAM, doubled on the Lumia 525 (1GB). As Lumia 520 is the most popular WP-based smarphone to date, we are pretty sure that a new budget–oriented smartphones in addition to the new Lumia 630 will help the platform increase its share in many price-sensitive markets.

As far as the other specs, Nokia Lumia 530 (Rock) is expected to come without hardware and camera buttons, flash and 4G support, powered by a dual-core or a low-end quad-core processor, as the Lumia 630. Microsoft is likely to use the same 5MP camera typical for the old-gen cheap Lumias and you shouldn’t expect a front-facing shooter.

Nokia Lumia 530 (Nokia Rock) possible specs:

  • 4-inch screen, 800 x 480 pixels
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 8GB storage
  • 5MP camera, no flash
  • On-screen buttons
  • Windows Phone 8.1 pre-loaded
