Mid-range Lumia with a metal frame?

Despite multiple reports claiming that Microsoft has killed all Lumia devices under development except the Lumia 650, we have new evidence to disprove this assertion.

A device codenamed Lumia Honjo has been revealed in real-life photos providing us a close look at the phone that may become the Lumia 650 XL (or 850) … if it is ever released on the market.

Lumia-850.1

The phone, as can be seen on the photos, is similar-looking to the upcoming Lumia 650, but has a bigger screen (the source believes the screen diagonal is 5.4 inches). We can also spot a ‘premium’ metal frame around the side, an Iris Scanner for Windows Hello, standard USB port, and a camera hump similar to that on the Lumia 640 XL.

Lumia-850.6

Microsoft is believed to announce Lumia 650 in the coming days, and the phone may pack less than exciting specs, including a 5-inch screen.

Lumia Honjo (it could become the Lumia 650 XL or Lumia 850) may be the real mid-ranger for 2016 – a phone with a bigger screen, better processor, and some premium features like Windows Hello.
