Microsoft Translator 10 Beta launched as a Universal Windows app
Translator 10 Beta to displace the old Translator app for all Windows 10 devices
Microsoft has officially released its new Universal Translator for Windows 10 devices called “Translator 10 Beta”. The app works on Desktop PCs, tablets and Phones, offering the same experience across the whole range of Windows 10 devices.
The app has the same basic features as the old Translator for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1, but comes with a brand new, Windows 10-inspired UI, some new menus and options.
The Translator app gives you the ability to translate text between 50 languages and use voice to translate from 10 languages. You can also use the camera, point it at signs and text, and then see live translation directly on the screen. Then you can save the screen on your phone as an image file and even find it on the home page of the app, along with all recent history of text and voice translations.
Among the other features are: text to speech; favorites; search; live tile with words of the day.
