Microsoft shows Phone calls on a Windows PC
A deeper integration between phones and PCs with the next Windows 10 update
A video played at the Microsoft’t BUILD conference shows us some of the improvements expected with the Windows 10 Anniversary update this summer.
Soon, users may be able to make and receive phone calls on their Windows 10 PC. They just need to use the same Microsoft account on both devices to synchronize information and calls. Windows 10 already integrates Phone and PCs thanks to Cortana. The digital assistant can now inform about missed calls and phone notifications, while soon she will notify users about low-battery levels on connected devices.
Microsoft may also bring the phone calls to Continuum so you won’t need to use the phone at all, when it’s connected to a TV/monitor in Continuum mode.
Some of the these improvements, and more, may be available for Windows Insiders in the coming weeks, while the global roll out of all new features is planned with the Windows 10’s Redstone 1 update in the summer.
