Microsoft releases a big cumulative update for Windows 7
Update for Windows 7 SP1 brings all security and non-security patches
A ‘convenience rollup’ update is now available for PC running Windows 7 Service Pack 1. The cumulative update includes all security and non-security updates released between Windows 7 SP1 and April 2016.
With this big rollup, available to download from the Microsoft Update catalog, the company gives all Windows 7 users the possibility to install on their machines all updates at once. After the rollup is installed, the users will only need to install future updates.
Microsoft is also changing the way it delivers non-security updates for Windows 7 and 8.1. From now on, there will be monthly rollups available via Windows Update.
The new rollup updates should be something very good for those who clean install Windows, because the users won’t need to go through the painful process of installing updates and restarting the PC for hours.
