Microsoft may release Windows 10 Mobile ROM for Xiaomi Mi 5, OnePlus 2 & 3
Microsoft reportedly testing Windows 10 Mobile on new Android devices
The Redmond-based software maker is apparently working on Windows 10 Mobile ROMs for some of the most popular smartphones in the world, and particularly in China.
After releasing a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for the Xiaomi Mi 4 phone in late 2015, Microsoft may provide ROMs for the new Xiaomi Mi5 very soon. Furthermore, two other phones are also expected to get Windows 10 Mobile via a special ROM – OnePlus 2 and OnePlus3.
There isn’t an official confirmation from Redmond about the ROM, but a recent post on the Chinese social network Weibo unofficially confirms the rumor.
Xiaomi Mi 5 offers high-end specs and design combined with very affordable prices. The cheapest Mi5 variant costs just $305 in China, but offers Snapdragon 820 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
