Microsoft Photos update for Windows 10 introduces drawing on images and other features
New filters and editing tools for Windows 10’s Photo app
Microsoft’s Photos app has received a big update for Windows 10. The new version of the app finally ditches the annoying hamburger menu for Desktop, replacing it with pivot sections already available on Windows 10 Mobile. You can also choose between Light and Dark mode from the app Settings menu.
Windows Ink support has been added to Photos for Windows 10 PC, allowing you to draw on anything using touch, pen or mouse. In addition, the app got four new filters (again for PC) – Sauna, New, Slate and Rouge. Along with the visible new features, the app probably also gets some performance improvements and bug fixes. The Photos app for Windows 10 Mobile has not been updated at the time of writing.
