Microsoft is finally introducing its collection of apps based on the Bing search engine on Windows Phone 8. Called Bing Apps, the collection includes Weather, Sports, News, and Finance apps. They are phone versions of the popular apps for Windows 8. The apps are almost identical to their desktop counterparts and include a Live Tile support.

Although there is already a weather app for Windows Phone released by Microsoft, the Bing Weather app comprises hourly and daily forecasts. It has also a support for numerous places which can be pinned as a Live Tiles to the Start Screen that update periodically. Just like its Windows 8 counterpart, the Bing Weather app has the same animated weather maps.

Bing Sports brings the latest in the sports world. You are able to pin your favored teams to the Start Screen tracking the latest scores. The app includes also all needed fixtures and tables.

Bing News app, similarly to the desktop version, allows you to add, edit, and rearrange sources. Its Live Tile shows you the latest news as the app comprises notifications for breaking news as well.

Bing Finance acts in the same way as the version for Windows 8. You can customize the watch list and the Live Tile shows the latest financial market information.
