Surface Book 2 features USB Type-C and improved graphics

Microsoft surprisingly revealed the Surface Book 2 in a blog post yesterday, without holding a dedicated keynote as usual. The Surface Book 2 improves the original hybrid laptop by offering new powerful processors (8th gen Inter quad-core) and new high-end graphics (up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060), but the USB Type-C port should also be welcomed by regular the users.

Surface Book 2 also packs two USB-A 3.1 ports, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB internal storage, a battery that lasts up to 17 hours, and has an improved hinge. Microsoft improved the keyboard, offering the same design introduced with the Surface Laptop. The display now has more contrast, and supports the latest Surface Pen and Dial. Additionally, the 2nd generation has new speakers for better and more powerful audio.

It comes in two sizes – a 13.5 and a 15-inch model, starting at $1500 for the smaller model in the US next month. The 15-inch model starts from $2500.

The Surface Book 2 could be pre-ordered on November 9. Ten more markets will also be getting the Surface Book 2 on the same date.
