Microsoft Band 2 reportedly planned for this summer
Microsoft is rumored to launch Band 2 along with Windows 10, flagship phones, Surface Pro 4
WinFuture.de says that Microsoft is readying the launch of the second Band later this year. The same German source has recently revealed the possible specs of two flagship Lumia phones – Lumia 940 and 940XL.
The Band 2 is said to be very far in the development stage and the company is already testing the gadget internally.
Microsoft Band 2 launch is likely to coincide the major Windows 10 release this summer. Along with the new band, Redmond may be preparing the fourth iteration of the Surface Pro, which will run Windows 10 and will be powered by a fanless processor.
The first Band was launched in mid-2014, but so far it is present in a very few countries in limited quantities. It was obvious that Microsoft was testing the waters and the Band’s follow-up with a much broader availability is the next logical step. We may see an improved design and new software and hardware features. There is no information on what software the Band 2 will run, but we suppose it is Windows 10 IoT Core
