Microsoft Band 2 comes with new features and improved design
Pre-orders start today for $249
Microsoft has presented the second version of its smartband – ‘Microsoft Band 2’. The new version improves many areas of the first generation and brings new functionalities to the brand announced in 2014.
Microsoft Band 2 comes with a brand new form that fits the wrist better thanks to a curved display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
There are new sensors in addition to the old ten sensors available in the first Band. The gadget has a Barometer that tracks elevation changes and displays statistics on the screen in real-time. The Band 2 also measures VO2 Max or the maximum oxygen intake per minute.
Among the software improvements are Cortana, who will help in your daily workouts, smart notifications, and a new universal Microsoft Health app for Windows 10 devices through which users can build their own guided workouts with custom parameters like distance, reps and more.
Microsoft Band 2 goes on sale on October 30, but you can pre-order it now for $249 in the US. The company is expected to bring the device to other key markets around the Holiday season.
