Nokia Lumia Icon users can install the latest Insider Redstone build

The head of the Insider program at Microsoft has just announced that the Nokia Lumia Icon can now enroll for Insider Fast or Slow Ring, and then download and install the latest Redstone builds available for that specific Ring.

At the moment, Insiders on the Fast ring can install Windows 10 Mobile build 14332 which includes a number of fixes and improvements over the previous builds. While the Icon can now join the Redstone branch, the official Windows 10 Mobile update for non-Insiders is yet to be announced. That means the only way to upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1 to 10 is to select the Insider’s Release Preview Ring and download the latest ‘semi-official’ version (currently 10586.242).

How to: Install and Uninstall Windows 10 Mobile Preview

• If you select Insider Fast you will download Redstone build 14332

• If you select Insider Slow you will install Redstone build 14295

• If you select Insider Release Preview you will install Windows 10 Mobile 10586.242

• If you select Production you won’t see any build available
