This is the first Windows Phone from Lenovo

Lenovo has unveiled plans to launch a mid-range Windows Phone in Japan later this year. The phone named Lenovo SoftBank 503LV will be exclusive for the Japanese carrier SoftBank and this handset will run Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update.

Among the interesting features of Lenovo’s first Windows Phone are the Continuum-capable processor (Snapdragon 617), 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The display will be typical for an inexpensive device – 5 inches in diagonal and an HD resolution.

Here are the specs:

  • display: 5-inch TFT LCD with HD (1280x720px) resolution
  • processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC, Octa-core 1.5GHz
  • RAM: 3GB
  • storage: 32GB onboard storage
  • microSDXC: YES, card support up to 128GB
  • rear camera: 8MP
  • front-facing camera: 5MP
  • battery: 2250mAh
  • size: 142.4 x 71.4 x 7.6mm
  • weight: 144g
  • software: Windows 10 Mobile AU

Lenovo describes this model as a premium-looking device aimed at business customers and we can see from the renders that the smartphone may have a metal trim around the sides, similar to that found in the Lumia 650. Lenovo SoftBank 503LV reportedly goes on sale in October for an undisclosed price.
