Leak: Phone Build 10070
Possible changes in Live Tiles
Microsoft released Build 10052 to Windows Insiders a few days ago, but we expect a newer version of Windows 10 for Phones to be rolled out next week, around the Microsoft’s BUILD conference. While we are waiting to get the official OS build containing the new Universal Office apps, a screenshot of an unseen build has leaked online. The leak, coming from a Polish forum for Windows, claims to show us build 10070.
The source explains that the screenshot comes from a Samsung ATIV S running pre-release version of Windows 10 Build number 10070. If the screenshot is genuine, then we are close to a substantial change related to Live Tiles.
Seen on the image is the reduced distance between the Live Tiles, so users could have an extra row of mid-size Tiles on the Start screen. At the moment, it is not yet known whether build 10070 along with these changes will make its way to Windows Insiders or this is just an internal test version not intended for public release.
10070 or another number, Microsoft has hinted that a new version of Windows 10 for Phones containing the new touch-optimized Office apps may be coming next week. Along with Office, Microsoft is expected to bring a beta version of Windows 10 store, performance improvements, and other new features to Windows insiders.
